At Weber we are looking for Regulatory Affairs and Chemical Compliance Specialist

to work in our Central Finance Team helping to deliver subject matter expert advice in terms of ingredients, compounds, chemicals to cover all industry and governing bodies.

 

The Regulatory Affairs and Chemical Compliance Specialist will be a part of the audit and internal control division, reporting into the Financial Director, whilst working closely with the Research & Development, Purchasing and Quality departments.  The Regulatory Affairs and Chemical Compliance Specialist is a key role within the team where you will work in a cross functioning manner alongside key Stakeholders across numerous departments where your technical ability, flair for presenting and experience in chemical compliance will be noticed throughout the business.

 

Weber is one of 30+ Saint-Gobain brand’s. Weber are formulators and manufacturers of building materials for the facade, construction mortars, flooring systems and tile fixing markets, Weber's well established product range includes monocouche renders, external wall insulation systems, tile adhesives/grouts, leveling compounds and specialist construction products.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Good experience within chemical compliance/regulatory role with strong chemistry knowledge covering CLP and Globally Harmonized System (GHS)
  • Adaptable and flexible with a strong interest in regulatory and product compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and a fast learner
  • A confident communicator who can respond in a constructive and timely manner to regulatory enquiries from customers, distributors and business departments
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management, Integrity and professional commitment

 

What you will be doing:

  • Ensures chemical compliance with Domestic, European and International regulations for handling hazardous chemicals and assesses the impact of pending changes
  • Lead in ensuring the compliance of the company’s products and operations to regulations including CLP, GHS, REACH, FEMAS, BRC
  • Provide company’s wide knowledge on all product chemical safety regulatory matters and provides support to New Product Development on regulatory / classification implications of new and amended formulations
  • Responsible for all materials, packaging and products at all three UK manufacturing sites and sales of products to global markets.
  • Liaising with suppliers, dealing with customer queries around product standards, advising the internal partners such as Labeling, Packaging and Marketing department, signing of artwork around health & safety data
