Position description

Your mission will be to ensure a Technical Support to all Saint-Gobain Glass Industry Float Lines, taking care of installation sustainability & production technical performance.

Localized in Saint-Gobain Glass France Industrial Technical Direction (DTI) offices, you will be in charge of:

  • Supervising various Furnace Special Operations (heating-up, cooling down, hot over-coating, etc….).
  • Optimizing cost of special operations as well as common hot maintenance works.
  • Developing expertise in Refractory & Furnace hot-works. Developing the culture of continuous improvement in furnace hot work maintenance method. Developing community within Melting & Refractory Experts. Participating in Furnace design.
  • Developing & sharing Best Practices, realizing Audit. Developing furnace preventive maintenance activities.
  • Developing Masson « pool » for Special Operations. Organizing inter-plant assistance.
  • Ensuring “Hotline” for Technical questions, training people, and giving Technical recommendation in case of crisis.
  • Following production line technical performance. Organizing weekly meeting with no autonomous plants.

The job is localized in Aubervilliers, France. Regular Missions (of various durations) on industrial site in France or abroad are regularly organized (up to 70% of the time).


  • Required Background: Engineer or PhD
  • Experiences: glass processing, refractory & glass furnace, project management, heating up
  • Qualities: Rigor, organization, industrial process interest, team work, culture open mind. Listening & communicating capacities.
  • Languages: English & French mandatory (written & spoken).
