Position description

With 12 300 employees in 56 countries, the Gypsum and Ceilings Activity extracts and processes gypsum into a wide array of plaster products for construction and decoration meeting growing customer demand for a comfortable and visually pleasing home environment, and also the ease to install.

In order to have the key process parameters under control, the first step is to create, develop, industrialize and deploy the relevant sensors and connect them through manufacturing executive systems (MES) to global databases (data lakes) in order to allow further advanced data analysis (big data).

The R&D direction wishes to recruit a Program Manager “Industrialization sensors 4.0” responsible for coordinating the various projects aiming to convert sensor prototypes coming from R&D centers into industrialized process sensors set on our manufacturing lines and connected to the various databases.

Your Main missions :

As a Program Manager “Industrialization sensors 4.0” you will have for main task:

  • Steer the development from the last R&D stages to the final version that can be deployed and used in the Industrial lines.
  • Implement and apply methodological tools for robust and agile sensor industrialization (functional analysis, FMEA products / processes, TRL scales…)
  • Elaborate the technical specifications in interface with engineering, technical assistance and operational teams.
  • Ensure compatibility and standardization of sensor connectivity with existing MES and reporting systems.
  • Develop a network of partners to ensure sensors development & maintenance (electronics, mechanics, integrators, …)
  • Make sensors audited and certified
  • Support the installation and the start-up of the first serial sensors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

You will be integrated in the R&D central team of Saint-Gobain Gypsum.

Regular travels in Europe are to be expected to the different Gypsum plants and subcontractors.

You are Graduated of an engineering school, you acquired technical skills related to instrumentation (electronic, metrology, mechanical, telecommunications, IT).

Ideally, you can justify a first experience in successfully bringing sensors from the lab to process lines.

Motivated by teamwork, you have a good sense of the relationship, are autonomous, proactive and know how to work with rigor and precision.
