Our SG Glass International team is looking for a Technical & Quality Manager (T&Q Manager) in order to follow up technically architectural projects and actors, manage quality claims and promote our full range of glass products. The Role will include:

1.Technical Certification Program for Glass Processors

Supervision of the Technical certification program of Glass Processors linked to SGGI activities.

The goal of the certification program is to :

- Make sure the processing guidelines of our glass are well understood by the customers.

- Gather information regarding the processor (type of machine, capability and specialty in processing)

- Assess the capabilities of the processors, make recommendations and assist them to ensure the successful processing of our glass.. Avoid potential Quality claims due to processing.

- Share the technical expertise of Saint-Gobain glass processing with processors, in order to improve the quality level of our glass processing.

- Gather information regarding the processor (type of machine, capability and specialty in processing) 

- Build long term relationship with customer and improves his loyalty. Give feedback to Sales Area Managers.

The certification program consist in : 

- Scheduling regular processing audits with each processor and making sure glass is available for the tests

- Performing the audit starting from the inspection of the storage to the final sealing of the DGU.  

- Giving a first feedback to the processor 

- Preparing the audit report and communicate with the processor on the conclusions and corresponding next actions 

- Follow up any actions decided with the processor. 

- Keep the database of processor up-to-date (people, visits, machines…) 


2.  Quality management 

In case of claim, get the necessary information to assess the problems and the possible root causes of the “defects”.  Visit the customer if necessary. Edit a technical report and communicate with the production factory the result of the inspection. Make the link with the Production plant to ensure quick and appropriate settlement of the claim and avoid similar issues to happen again.

Demonstrate our ability to support efficiently the customer in case of problem.


3. General technical support  

- Consolidate and build a long term cooperation, establish partnerships with key processors. 

- Provide technical information regarding the processing of product. 

- Upon request organize and realize processing test for R&D purpose. 

- Be able to present the product ranges and their technical specificities to the processors 

- Be able to prepare and present dedicated training regarding processing steps 


4. Internal relationship 

- Keep permanently the area manager informed of the status of the operations of the processors in their region. 

- Prepare monthly the highlights regarding certification and quality management 


5. SGGI team support 

-  Assist the Exprover team and agents on the capabilities of the processor in the region 

-  Upon request give dedicated presentation regarding processing 


6. Database  

- Be able to understand the architecture of the Access database as the glass processor management 

- Be able to improve the Access database (new functionality) 

The following SGGI areas have their own Technical Support Manager (TSM) based locally :  Middle east and North America. The T&Q Manager will support them to manage their duties, proceed with certifications if necessary and will coordinate the TSM function at SGGI level.

The T&Q Manager will play directly the role of TSM for the other SGGI areas especially Africa and Eastern Europe. He will get the support from the local TSM organisation in SGGI and in each of the SGG plants worldwide



Master degree or Engineering diploma in mechanics, physics or chemistry 


- At least 2 to 3 years in the field of glass business 

- Glass processing or glass manufacturing 

- Quality management is a plus 

Technical competences:

- Glass processing,   

- Float glass manufacturing  

- Coated glass manufacturing 

Managerial competences: 

- Respect of Comply and Rules of Conduct and Behaviour of the Group 

- Analytical skills, clear mind with good summary and explanation skills.  

- Good contact & communication skills both written and oral   

- Pedagogue, diplomatic, ability to find solutions and consensus

- Flexible and ready to travel (50% of the time) 

- Dynamic, autonomous, organized
