Saint-Gobain is seeking a Data Governance Officer to build, support and deploy the  global data governance framework within the group to achieve Saint-Gobain’s data objectives.

In this role, you will : 

  • Develop standards, policies and procedures for the implementation of the data governance within the business units/entities (data roles and responsibilities, metadata management, data quality management and master data management…).
  • Define data maturity assessment surveys, collect and analyse the results to drive priorities and roadmaps definition.
  • Enable cultural changes, ensuring that data governance initiatives are understood and adopted by the organizations.
  • Contribute to trainings, acculturate any stakeholder on data governance and solicitate ongoing feedback to federate Business Unit and Entities stakeholders around the common framework.
  • Contribute to the requirements of data governance and quality tools.
  • Provide content to feed communication events or knowledge center.


  • Master’s Degree in business, technology, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in data governance. 
  • Strong Leadership and Influencing skills; interacting with senior stakeholders; highly personable.
  • Strong ability to extract information by questioning, active listening and interviewing.
  • Experienced at using the relevant statutory frameworks such as the GDPR and other data privacy regulations to drive data governance and data ethics.
  • Results orientated to ensure change and delivery project metrics are meaningful and supported with robust business data.
  • Comfortable presenting complex data flows and relationships to non-data peers and colleagues..
