We are looking for a high-impact Process Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, optimizing operations, and driving measurable results. In this role, you won’t just maintain processes, you’ll transform them.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring product certification, scaling manufacturing excellence, and leading continuous improvement initiatives in a World Class Manufacturing (WCM) environment. Your work will directly influence product quality, operational efficiency, and business performance.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will also act as a trusted backup to the Quality Engineer, ensuring continuity in quality systems and compliance.
What You’ll Own
Certification Leadership
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end certification process for new and existing products
- Ensure compliance with industry standards while proactively mitigating risks and delays
- Partner with testing agencies and internal teams to maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation
Process Optimization & Operational Excellence
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and workflows
- Standardize production methods to deliver consistency, scalability, and superior quality
- Conduct deep-dive analyses (time studies, process mapping, ergonomics) to unlock productivity gains and waste reduction
- Build and maintain robust process documentation systems aligned with best practices
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and WCM principles to build a culture of continuous improvement
- Drive initiatives that deliver tangible results in cost, quality, and efficiency
Cross-Functional Impact
- Serve as a technical advisor to Sales, Customer Service, and Production
- Support customer needs including product configurations, order specifications, and on-site technical assessments
- Collaborate with Purchasing to evaluate suppliers and strengthen the supply chain
Project & Operations Leadership
- Own and execute capital projects (Capex) from concept to commissioning
- Ensure accurate and optimized Bills of Materials (BoM)
- Contribute to engineering strategy and help align operations with organizational goals

What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or quality
- Strong expertise in process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma
- Proven ability to lead projects and deliver measurable operational improvements
- Solid understanding of certification standards and regulatory compliance
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across teams
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

Work Environment & Expectations
- Full-time, permanent position in a high-performance WCM environment
- Hands-on role requiring presence on the production floor
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
- Availability to support operations during critical or emergency situations
- Willingness to travel (including internationally) for training and customer support
- Commitment to maintaining the highest health & safety standards

Certain provinces require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay for this position ranges from 70 500$ to 85 000$ per year. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to education, experience, skills and qualifications as they relate to the role. Fully qualified and experienced candidates will typically align near the midpoint. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
