Position description

Production Operator for World Class Manufacturing Company

Variety of shifts available!

Location: Oakville

Current Shifts available: Monday to Sunday

· Day Shift: 5.30am – 2pm

· Afternoon Shift: 1.30pm – 10pm

· Night Shift: 9.30pm – 6am

Rotating every 2 weeks through all 3 shifts.

Will move to a 12 hour shift schedule this summer with a 7 day operation.
Start times: 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for in this role…

  • Oversee the box & pail line and be responsible for the operation and upkeep of various stations along the production line which can include mixing and packaging equipment
  • Use a fork lift time to time to move product to one area to another correctly and safely
  • Performing quality control function and testing on raw materials and final product during and after production.
  • Computer skills will be an asset when working on the production computer and interact with PDA/HMI.
  • Can do attitude. You must have a passion for creating quality product in a fast-paced environment. You will be working among a group of committed and highly safety focused team members in an inclusive culture
  • Support all safety programs and compliances to ensure a safe work environment for all employees

  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week with overtime availability
  • Rotating Shifts: Rotating every 2 weeks through all three shifts current: (Day: 5.30am-2pm; Afternoon: 1.30pm – 10pm; Night: 9.30pm – 6am)

future: 12 hour shift rotating every 2 weeks (7am-7pm; 7pm-7am)

  • Salary: $18.68 with an increase after only 3 months to $23.45. You will also be eligible to participate in the quarterly paid Incentive Plan.

Things you should know about working at our manufacturing location:

We are committed to providing one of the safest work environments. This means you will wear a uniform, PPE. Reflective vest, provide safety tips, and recognize each other for working safely.

  • We are customer focused, and together we focus on the customers to ensure their satisfaction; because meeting customer expectations are a must, quality and productivity are critical
  • Noise levels vary and can sometimes be loud in parts of the building. Hearing protection will be provided and is required to be worn at all times while working in the Plant.
  • Even with climate controls, temperature in some parts of our plant may vary cold during the winter months and hot during the summer months. Especially if you are working in the Warehouse area.
  • Some tasks will require standing in one place for extended periods of time (up to 8-12 hours a day), while others involve walking around the facility, including climbing stairs – comfortable safety shoes (CSA standard Green Triangle) are a must!
