CertainTeed Canada, Inc., a division of Saint-Gobain, has an exciting career opportunity for a Regional Field Sales Manager

Territory Location: Western Canada (excluding BC)

 

As the successful sales lead, you will be responsible for building sales within new and existing customers within the Interior Products Group (IPG). ; The IPG Sales team works primarily with builders, contractors and distribution customers to generate sales growth of CertainTeed’s (CT) portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain and add value to relationships between customer’s and CT’s organization; Customer audiences include contractors, distributors, etc
  • Develop and maintain business plans within the market, jointly developing plans with Territory Manager’s (TM) to maximize growth of Finishing and VAP with distribution partners
  • Work collaboratively with TM’s, Sr. Field Application Manager, Architectural Solutions Managers, and EPG team in the territory to deliver sales growth and sustained demand
  • Work with the ASM team to achieve specifications for Value Added Products (VAP) and increase project closing rate in both the residential and commercial markets
  • Work with Director of Sales to implement and execute Regional distribution strategy with CT Key Strategic accounts consistent with the overall business to maximize quality / effectiveness and quantity of sales calls
  • Act as Key Account Manager for primary GSD, LBM, Retail and drywall-insulation contractors, (Owner/President level) in Prairies
  • Provide consultative approach for specific negotiations on finishing products, Gypsum, Insulation and Ceilings with GSD Buying Groups. Act as key contact for regional GSD buying group, LBM, Retail purchasers for the Prairies
  • Provides effective leadership and regular performance coaching and mentorship to TM’s with GSD responsibility utilizing company coaching model
  • Coordinates key projects, training schedules, promotional execution of GSD strategic marketing initiatives with GSD, LBM, Retail TM’s territory
  • Lead team that will be responsible for forecasting sales in IPG group
  • Monitors market pricing, and where applicable, presents documented price approval requests in strict accordance with legal requirements and company guidelines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, marketing, business or similar discipline, or five (5) years of equivalent combination of education and experience that provides thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and practices concerned with the field of construction.
  • Minimum 10 years’ of applied professional experience in the pull through sale of drywall finishing products, managing of senior customer relationships, sales presentations, job site calls and closing of sales.
  • Knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking with contractors, distributors at a senior/ownership level.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiating and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication.
  • Results driven, flexible, open-minded and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
