Position description

Part of the Brussels based team, the EU Public Affairs Officer will support our advocacy and public affairs work. His/her responsibilities will include the following: • Monitoring and analysing policy developments in areas such as EU climate and energy, energy efficiency, circular economy and sustainable construction (non-exhaustive list); • Monitoring relevant EU institutional developments, stakeholder mapping; • Drafting internal briefings and newsletters; supporting the internal advocacy network activities; • Supporting our external positioning; • Attending external meetings (e.g. parliamentary committees or events); • Supporting the organization of events The candidate will benefit from the opportunity to better understand Saint-Gobain businesses, its regulatory environment and to enhance his/her knowledge of the EU decision-making process in the heart of Brussels.


• Educational background: political sciences, economy, law combined with a good knowledge of the EU decision-making process. Knowledge of the EU climate, energy and building policies will be an asset • Experience: A relevant professional experience, for example in a think tank, association, consultancy or EU institution, is encouraged. • Skills: strong analytical and writing skills; ability to handle complex issues and communicate in a clear and convincing way; good interpersonal skills; autonomy; flexibility and initiative • Languages: English and French. Any other EU language highly appreciated
